About RocKIN the Peace
RocKIN the Peace is an annual local music search and fundraiser for the Fort St. John Kin Club. Every year, the Kin Club and associated sponsors set out to find the best local musical talent in the North Peace region, including Fort St. John, Taylor, Dawson Creek, Hudson's Hope, Chetwynd, Grande Prairie and all points in between!
Submissions are accepted in January and February of each year, with a concert held in March featuring the finalists. All the finalists appear on the annual RocKIN the Peace CD compilation, and the winner, as declared by judges at the RocKIN the Peace concert, are awarded the Grand Prize. The Grand Prize, in past, has consisted of free recording time, cash prizes and more.
